Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Towit Rentals LLC ("Towit," "we," or "us") handles information through the Towit Rentals application and its customer communications, including WhatsApp. It does not replace the privacy policies of services you use independently.
Information we handle
Depending on the services you use, we handle contact and account information, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses and addresses; rental and trailer details; agreements and signatures; identification and documents supplied for rental administration; invoices, toll records, payment status and payment references; and service requests and correspondence. Connected fleet services may provide trailer location and operational information.
For WhatsApp communications, we receive your phone number or messaging identifier, information you send us, message identifiers, timestamps, and available delivery or read status. We keep a message record so authorized staff can provide service and review delivery problems. Please avoid sending passwords, full payment-card details or sensitive identity documents in a WhatsApp message.
Our application and hosting providers also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as account sign-in information, browser or device information, IP addresses, session cookies and operational logs.
How we use information
We use information to administer rentals and customer accounts; prepare and manage agreements; handle billing, tolls and payment records; respond to service requests; send requested or authorized rental communications and reminders; maintain records; and protect and troubleshoot our services. When enabled by authorized staff, document-processing tools can help extract information from submitted documents for staff review.
Service providers and disclosures
Information is processed by providers that support the services we use. These include OpenAI/ChatGPT Sites and its hosting infrastructure, Meta/WhatsApp for WhatsApp messaging, Zonitel for SMS, and connected email, document-processing, fleet, mapping, signing or payment providers when those features are used. Providers receive information relevant to the service they perform. Payment services may collect payment details directly through their own interfaces.
We may also disclose information when legally required, to handle a dispute or enforce an agreement, or to protect customers, our business or others. Provider services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their processing and storage may take place in countries other than yours.
WhatsApp choices
Using WhatsApp is optional. Contact us at the email or phone number below to request a different communication channel or to stop WhatsApp reminders. Our staff will review the request and update your communication preferences. Blocking our number in WhatsApp also prevents messages from reaching you through that number. Changing your communication preferences does not cancel an agreement or payment obligation.
Storage, retention and security
Towit uses access controls and security measures appropriate to the application, including encrypted storage for WhatsApp integration credentials and saved WhatsApp message content. Authorized staff can access information needed for their work. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information while needed for rental administration, customer service, recordkeeping, security, disputes and applicable legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and the purpose for which it is needed. Records are not necessarily erased automatically when a rental ends or you stop using WhatsApp.
Access, correction and deletion requests
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you, email oortega@towitenterprises.com with the subject Privacy request. Include your name, the phone number or email associated with your rental or WhatsApp conversation, and a description of your request. Do not include a password, full card number or government identification number in the request.
We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will review your request and explain any information we need to retain for legal obligations, rental or payment records, disputes, security or other permitted purposes. Deleting information from Towit does not itself delete copies retained by WhatsApp/Meta or other providers under their own policies. You can also use those providers' privacy controls.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The effective date on the published policy identifies the latest revision.
